Q4 2023 Performance of Carpooling Apps in France

In the fourth quarter of 2023, France's carpooling and ridesharing app market has seen varied user engagement and download trends across the board. Sensor Tower's latest data gives us a glimpse into how these apps have performed during this period.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a fluctuating download trend, peaking at around 86K in the third week of November, and ending the quarter with over 52K downloads. The app's weekly active users showed a decline from 117K to 110K by the end of December.

Uber - Request a ride, a major player in the market, maintained a relatively steady download rate, with a notable jump to over 51K in the last week of December. However, weekly active users dropped significantly from over 1M in late September to approximately 828K by the year's end.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus saw a steady increase in downloads, capping the quarter with over 41K downloads in the last week of December. The app's active users also saw an increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching nearly 389K active users.

BlaBlaCar Daily (Covoiturage) downloads varied, with a high of over 30K in the second week of October and a low of around 22K in mid-December. The app's weekly active users saw a slight increase from 78K to over 75K towards the end of the quarter.

Lastly, Heetch - Ride-hailing app had its downloads peak at over 26K in the final week of December. Weekly active users showed a positive trend, rising from 79K to over 92K in the same period.
